The Schulz Campus
Charles Schulz Museum
Opening in 2002, this award-winning gem of Santa Rosa celebrates Charles “Sparky” Schulz.
Charlie Brown greets you outside the museum along with Snoopy atop his doghouse.
For more Peanuts on Parade statues, check out our "Peanuts on Parade" Gallery.
So far, we've found over 100 statues in Sonoma County!
Be sure to engrave a penny from Snoopy inside the lobby!
Don’t forget to check out what’s playing at the theater next to the lobby and gift shop. There is another gift shop across the street, Snoopy’s Gallery & Gifts, if you wish to shop a larger array of Peanuts books and accessories.
Woodstock is getting ready for the day as you enter the museum.
As you enter the Great Hall, you’ll note the large tile mosaic work of Charlie Brown and Lucy at the far end of the space. As you draw closer, you can see the full detail of each tile used to fittingly showcase these iconic characters.
Downstairs showcases the museum’s rotating exhibits which offer great selfie opportunities and moments of reflection.
Offer your advice at Lucy’s Psychiatric Help stand with interchangeable captions. It’s first-come, first-served, but our family always loves to stop and interact with every hands-on exhibit the museum offers!
Stop by the courtyard outside to see the Kite Eating Tree.
Charlie is under construction nearby.
Linus will challenge you with his crossword puzzle. They keep copies upstairs in the Education Room.
As you make your way upstairs to the permanent collections, there is usually another temporary exhibit.
In the past, we’ve been to space. Also, they’ve offered children the opportunity to create puppet shows and work on captions for the cartoons. You never know what the gang will be up to next!
One special permanent piece is the wall from Colorado. This shows Schulz’s early works in the designs he made for his children’s rooms.
I love walking through Schulz’s recreated studio. The space is captured in time and you have a moment to literally walk in his space. The personal touches on the shelves always draw my attention as we pass through toward the Education Room.
We usually stop by this creative space to pick up a few coloring pages each time we go. You’re welcome to use books, materials, whatever you wish to make your own creation in the Education Room.
Personally, I love the light box. I usually trace a few characters to take home and color in later. There is always a museum volunteer around who is knowledgeable and helpful, if you ever have any questions.
In 2025, the Schulz Museum celebrated the 75th anniversary of Peanuts with a special exhibit featuring throwback statues of Charlie Brown and his pal, Snoopy, just inside the entrance.
Outside the museum is the Snoopy Labyrinth. Once you’ve contemplated the life of a beagle, cross the street to the Snoopy’s Home Ice and Snoopy’s Gallery & Gifts.
Snoopy’s Home Ice
Charles Schulz and his first wife, Joan, having grown up in hockey-centric Minnesota, built a community ice rink in Santa Rosa in the 1970s. “Sparky” continued to hone his love of skating even into his senior years!
This local jewel is still buzzing with activity from Growler’s games to up-and-coming ice skater’s lessons.
Lucy’s Psychiatric stand and Snoopy’s dog house are stationed outside this iconic space. Woodstock is ready to officiate a match.
Meanwhile, Slap Shop Schulz is ready to showdown at Snoopy’s Home Ice.
Snoopy is jumping for joy as you enter this darling space complete with stained glass and rich woodwork.
